Well, the “cat’s outta the bag”, some of you received an accidental post as I was freshening up my website. This spurred me on to launch it formally before y’all considered the post a “pocket call” and deleted me from your email.
Tomorrow is my birthday. Seventy-five years and counting. That number triggers the reality that I’m not getting any younger, and that the things that I remember in my life are things that most would have to Google to get a sense of what I am writing about. Like dial telephones, chips-in-a-brown-paper-bag, fireworks-in-your-pockets and car hops.
This year is also the first year that I will not be gainfully employed in some fashion. Some will remember that Terry and I spent several years in Southeast Asia. It was a gift of an opportunity that I have documented in my 2019 memoir, “Legacy – Stories to Tell My Daughters Before I Die.” Last year I worked part-time from home, conducting online security interviews for a federal government agency. That was a gift that ended abruptly with the change of government and the vetting of casual employees. I’d do that again in a heartbeat; it was the perfect “retirement” job, and it exposed me to a new crop of young public servants that solidified my belief that our country is strongly managed and well protected.
But I digress. I’d like to spend more time writing, and I’d like to have someone to write to. So if you’re in the mood for that, I’ll try to keep you entertained. I’m not sure where my pen will wander; that’s part of the fun and mystery of being a writer.
So please stay tuned. Comments are welcome as I wander, and if you are stimulated or entertained in any way, please share my site with others.
Together, let’s see where this goes.

Happy Birthday Bill. A milestone! I will look forward to reading more of your writing. Take care.
Wishing you good luck and lots of inspiration. ❤️💕🤗
